Great Comeback in Rose Bowl
Drawn to play Bath at Taunton Vale in the first round of the Rose Bowl things didn’t look good with first pair out Roaring Roy Parmiter and Chirpy John Drummond losing on the 18th green. Next out were the sunshine boys of Chris Binding and Jamie Brodie who last year seemed to be able to walk on water, they too succumbed to the Bath pairing. Things seemed to be going from bad to worst with Storming Norman Banfield and Curry George Ceeley four down after seven but they came good winning 8 straight holes to win their match. Next pairing of Gentleman Jim Mcoll and Bouncing Wes Allen were comfortable winners in their game leaving it all down to Boom Boom Lowe and Sedately Gary French to win their match resulting in a great win.
