County Golf 2010

Stacie has been busy at the Somerset Girls Golf Academy held once a month at Enmore Park Golf Club working with Sarah Burnell, indeed things going so well that she qualified and was invited to the 1st team Girls county coaching sessions held once a month at Burnham & Berrow under the watchful eye of Russell Covey who is also the county’s 1st team Ladies coach.

Stacie made her debut for Somerset against Gloucestershire defeating a very good opponent 2 & 1 on the championship course at Burnham & Berrow helping secure overall victory for Somerset ’s Girls against Gloucestershire. She next played for them against an all Boys select team from Taunton & Pickeridge, although she did not win their fourball match with her partner she did acquit herself very well gaining some valuable experience.

Stacie had a very credible finish at the Somerset Girls County Championship finishing 12th at Enmore Park and went on to finish the year very strongly at the last county Girls coaching session in December winning a nine hole stableford competition with 22 points on the Channel course at Burnham & Berrow.

Junior Opens

Stacie played in seven Junior Opens in 2010 recording the best Nett girl at Windwhistle, Mendip and Taunton Vale Opens and had strong performances at Knowle (Girl’s Open) in the wind and rain, Wells, Cheddington and Ashley wood in Dorset.

Schools Golf.

Stacie played in the 2010 Somerset Schools Golf Association Championships at Long Sutton and was her school’s only representative that day. She finished as Long Sutton’s best placed junior which was very pleasing as conditions were very difficult that day for everyone.

Long Sutton Junior Golf 2010

Stacie made it into the Junior team as a reserve early in the season but quickly went on to be a regular in the team as her handicap came down through out the season. She also had a very good finish in our own Junior Championship where she was runner up in the Nett championship and fourth in the Gross competition.

Stacie is the reigning Long Sutton Junior Clubnite champion, a title won after a gripping season finale tussle with Will Ross and Rupert Edwards.

Summing up.

Stacie has had a fantastic year with her Clubnite handicap of 42 tumbling to her current CONGU handicap of 22.9 and she would like to thank Felicity and Graham, Andy Hayes, Tommy, Suzie, Steve, Sandra, Gill, Eliza and everyone else who has helped.

Good Luck to everyone in 2011.
