Thank you to the ladies who made this weekend such fun when we went on an Away Overnighter to Elfordleigh. Uphill and downdale, never a flat lie. How many times did we ricochet off dry-stone walls and clatter down through trees? Hasn't Orchardleigh taught us you need to stay on the fairway? Most ladies, and this is one, can't clear giant oak trees to get back on track. I must say the ladies that went are made of stern stuff - nobody used a buggy and despite free-flowing wine at dinner, all were present and correct for round two the next day. The cards for the two days showed that Eliza Vail was the overall winner, with Sandra Ford runner up, just beating Gwen Clarke who rallied well (teetotal) on day two!

Eliza also won our putting competition - Stableford last Wednesday. Watch this space!
