Many Ladies signed up to play in this match. The demand was so great that we had three Reserves and I therefore did not include myself and nominated Judy Richards as Captain for the day.
The weather was amazing and the girls performed well winning three and a half to one and a half.
Special mention should be made about Sally Taylor who played well and won her match with Lynn despite feeling unwell.
Thanks to Connie as Reserve for playing at short notice.
Judy was very impressed with her partner, Pat Harvey who played 'like a little star!'
Sandra Basford had many pars and no doubt her handicap will continue to tumble.
The Irish contingent was represented by Aideen and her opponent Eveleen O'Farell from Oake Manor. Apparently there was a lot of 'friendly banter' between the two of them.
Ginny from Oake Manor decided to have a practice on our course on Sunday only to achieve a hole in one.
Congratulations to her!!
The Tea was scrumptious, particularly the home made scones and Victoria Sponge. George even managed to rustle up some gluten free cookies for the lady from Oake Manor with special dietary needs!
A special thank you to Judy for taking charge and doing a great job.
