LONG SUTTON CLUB CAPTAIN
2012
CHRIS BINDING
To be asked to be Captain of this club is a great honour and I hope to do the position justice. I have invited Norman Banfield to be my Vice Captain and he will be responsible for running the Men’s Open, an event that we need to support and make worthwhile.
My charity this year is the Children’s Hospice and we have already raised £150 at the recent drive in, with over one hundred members taking part. I would like also to thank those who supported the evening event which was a great success. It is important that you the members support the events put on by your committee during the year when the atmosphere and camaraderie of the club is so evident.
Club night will continue to be run on the same basis as last year and Norman and I would like to meet and play with as many different members as possible, so please come along and take part.
I have been involved in representing the club in many of its leagues and county competitions and along with Tommy and Graham nothing would give me greater pleasure than to win one of these events in my season as captain, so please all those who feel they have the potential to participate put your name forward and lets put Long Sutton on the map where it deserves to be.
I hope you all have a good golfing season and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during my season as your Club captain.
