Another solid win for the ladies

The ladies league team played Enmore GC at home yesterday. Resulting in a 6-1 win, another solid result for our ladies.Team Amanda Head, Joce Dunevelin, Aideen Roche, Gill Edwards, Angela Body, Judy Richards and Christine Coates. Non playing team Captain Ros Williams lead the ladies to another sucess.

Amanda Head Ladies Club Champion 2017.

Congratulations to Amanda Head who won the Ladies Club Championship with a gross 172. Mandy's 1st round, gross 80.

Pink Ladies Annual Fundraiser

Our Pink Ladies annual fundraiser took place yesterday, 19th July. 44 ladies dressed and played in pink to raise monies for breast cancer research. 

The weather was really kind to us, following a night of storms. Winners pictured Eliza Vail and Ruth Lloyd scored 67.25 (b9) in a two ball Texas Scramble.

2nd Ros Williams and Sylvie Coach Tucker with 67.25 and 3rd Caroline Hunter and Jo Cook with 68.25.

Long Sutton Ladies perform well at the South West Rally

4 Teams of six players from Long Sutton Ladies entered the South West Rally at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club on the  17th July. The event was a 3 ball bowmaker, 90% handicap, two scores to count on each hole, then the six players scores were added together. Long Sutton took 3rd, 4th and 6th place, out of 46 teams of 6. , Scores 164 / 160 and 156.  l think our lady golfers travel well.

Long Sutton host South West Australian Spoons Regional Final

11th July saw 42 Ladies's pairs play at Long Sutton GC in the England Golf Regional South West Australian Spoons Final. A foursomes event from which the winning pair go onto the National Final at Woodall Spa EG Centre Lincoln on the 18th August 2017. All the entrants had won a club competition to come forward to this regional final.

Despite heavy rain all day the green staff ensured the course played well and a group of volunteers ensured our visiting players enjoyed their day, even if rather wet. The winning pair from South Cerney Golf Club won on the b9 with 33pts from Burnham and Berrow GC. Long Sutton's qualifying pair Gill Edwards and Amie Stamp came in 4th place.
