Seniors’ Captain 2012 – 2013
Welcome to Long Sutton Golf Club Seniors’ Section. The website enables both section members and visitors to keep up to date with events, competitions and results, as well as providing useful information for members, visitors and new members.
The Seniors’ section is an extremely active and friendly section of Long Sutton Golf Club, and always welcomes new members. At present we have over 130 active members, and the seniors’ section is continually growing.
The Seniors’ play over 30 matches against other local seniors’ sections, and we particularly ensure that players of all abilities get the opportunity to play in these fixtures. These are all friendly fixtures, however it is always nice to win when possible!
The Seniors’ have a competition every Thursday morning, in addition to other ad hoc ‘roll-ups’. The Thursday competition is a mix of medals, stablefords and team events, with a home and away match against the Ladies section of the club.
Long Sutton Golf Club continues to develop and thrive, largely thanks to the enthusiasm, investment and energy from the owners Graham and Felicity Holloway. The course continues to develop, and is regarded by many as one of the best courses in the area.
The clubhouse provides excellent food, and opposition teams have no problems in raising a team to play at Long Sutton, such is the reputation of the food and course.
