Seniors Section

Welcome to the Long Sutton Golf Club Seniors Section web site which has been created in order to keep the section members up to date with events, games and results as well as provide useful information for visitors and new members.

The Seniors is an extremely active and much involved section of Long Sutton Golf Club. With some 120 members, seniors day is Thursday with a roll up and reserved tee times from 8.00am until 9.30am. Members play in twos, threes or fours, depending on the competition with no reserved tee times. The Seniors section  has established and actively maintains a warm and friendly welcome to all our visitors, as individuals, groups or teams from other clubs senior sections. From early spring onwards there are Monthly Medals and qualifying Stableford Competitions. These are interspersed with various fun singles and team games which bring their own challenges. In addition there are Winter and Summer Singles and Pairs competitions plus many home and away matches against other clubs' Senior Sections.

Long Sutton golf course has undergone some major developments and continues to raise the standard of the total golf experience it provides. In addition it continues to maintain excellent high standards in catering and any visitor should not miss the opportunity to “stay-a-while” after their round. 

I have often noticed that seniors tend to complain about their severe aches and pains when they are two or three holes down. Should they happen to win a hole or two these symptoms will in all probability become less severe!
