On Monday June 6^th Long Sutton G.C. hosted the 2011 Somerset Ladies County Bowmaker Competition. 72 players took part, representing 10 different clubs within Somerset.

The weather was kind and many players remarked on the excellent condition of our course. Thanks to the ladies of the committee, and the catering staff, who worked so hard to make the event run smoothly and to give our visitors such a warm welcome. We should be proud of our club and course.

The competition finished on a very high note when the last group of players scored an eagle on the 18^th hole to clinch first place.
