Long Sutton’s Cameron Barrett played in the Wessex Masters in June and produced one of his finest rounds of his young golfing career. He played at Bath Golf Club and got a gross 80 on a very calm and beautiful day. His steady and calm approach to the event was the paean of his success playing to his strengths and helping him to some very good scoring holes on the day and in the end he finished in the top two of the competition and lost out on the gross prize to Will Warman who is an England and Somerset county player. Cameron won the Wessex Salver for the best nett in the whole competition and myself and all the juniors are very proud of Cameron for this achievement.
Well done Cameron and we wish you well for the rest of the season and all your future achievements.
