The Levellers travelled to Worlebury on Saturday on yet another beautiful summers day. It was very warm with a strong wind blowing and the only green on the course was the actual greens - everywhere else was scorched and a parched brown which made the course even more tricky.
The home side rode their luck and finished 3 - 2 winners with two of the Levellers losses only by 1 hole. Captain Load and Slocombe managed to lose their game despite going up the 17th 1 up and both having a shot only to hit their balls out of bounds and then lose the 18th to a par - very frustrating!
Winning pairs were Chris Binding/Martin Abbott and the captains "bankers" John English and Mick Raine.
The final score was 8pts to 6pts.
