Seniors Reports and News : Quantock Stag -Seniors play well in wet and windy conditions.

In non-stop rain & 50mph blustery conditions, in which it was very difficult to play golf, the Long Sutton team scored a very respectable team score of 146pts, which I thought was very good.
However, some of the teams playing seemed to somehow pull out all the stops, with the home team, Enmore Park, producing a magnificent score of 163 pts (averaging 41 pts per pair) to win the competition. Our team ended up joint 10th.

Our highlights of the day were:
John Williams & Steve Burfitt who scored a pairs score of 45pts which we believe was the best pairs score of the day (no prize though).
Peter Hill played some very good golf in our pair, an certainly carried me on the day.
Rich Bartin managed to take the longest drive spot prize on the 5th.

Pairs’ Scores:
John Williams & Steve Burfitt 45pts
Rich Bartin & Peter Hill 36pts
Glyn Ottery & Martin Howlett 34pts
Alex Lyon & Malcolm Dennes 31pts
