Dress Code
Long Sutton Golf & Country Club is a modern, yet traditional, golf club and we consider that appropriate behaviour both in the clubhouse and on the golf course is far more important than dictating how an individual should be dressed.
Metal spikes are not permitted on the course, or the bar areas and we do ask golfers to change from their soft spikes during the winter and wet weather to prevent grass and debris being brought into the Clubhouse. Smart, clean sports shoes and modern pimpled golf shoes are perfectly acceptable. No golf shoes are allowed in the bar areas.
On the golf course we do accept fashion changes very quickly and our current guideline is simply that any recognised golfing apparel that can be purchased from a professional golf retail outlet is acceptable. Gentlemen’s shirts are to be tucked in and sports socks of any variety are fine. Golf shorts should be tailored and cargo shorts are, as yet, not deemed golfing apparel.
